Mom Saved My Shoe Box !

In the mid 1980's I thankfully saw an article in the newspaper that your old pile of baseball cards are suddenly a hot commodity. Dollar signs and panic flashed through my brain.

I quickly picked up the phone and called up my mom. Relief flooded through me. My mom's years of hoarding useless things finally paid off.

I knew I had a good stash as I spent every quarter of allowance on every Saturday for a good 4 years in the late 60's to 1970.

I was bestowed with a couple of shoe boxes stacked with cards and some other special collector cards and coins. Thank You Mom up in heaven ! !
